9/19/2009- Brown/Izon Wedding Ceremony & Reception

We were at the Riverview Country Club in Appleton on Saturday to celebrate with Hannah Brown & Stephen Izon at their wedding and reception.   We usually meet well before the day to go over all of the details face to face, but Hannah & Stephen are from Washington DC, so we did the planning over the phone.   We kicked off the big day at the ceremony which we provided sound reinforcement for.    The prelude offered several selections of modern music played by the Vitamin String Quartet.   The bridesmaids were all dressed in yellow, perfect for the bridesmaid processional to “Yellow” by Coldplay, in the classical version.   Hannah’s processional was to “Canon In D”  a version that we suggested, and the recessional was to a piano version of Alicia Keye’s “No One” which they found on “You Tube.”   We have ceremony packages that start as low as $100 for reinforcement, check it out on our website.

The reception kicked off in traditional east coast style with the bridal party introductions to “SOS” by Rihanna, followed by their first dance, the original “Stand By Me” by Ben E King, a classic which still sounds good today, as it was 50 years ago.

It was a small, intimate wedding of just over 80 guests, but that didnt stop them from having a blast!  These guests really know how to dance.  We played everything from the Beach Boys to the Black Eyed Peas, to Motown!

Thanks for letting us celebrate with you!

Henrickson/Moua Reception 5/30/2009

Katrina Henrickson and Jason Moua celebrated their wedding at Monarch Gardens in Appleton with family and friends and a lot of kids.
Matt Peden, was their DJ.  After dinner and the slide show presentation we set up for the Grand March – ‘Lets Get It Started’, Black Eyed Peas and boy did they.  Katrina and Jason danced to ‘Like a Shooting Star’ by Paradise and were then joined by their wedding party and they all danced to Jason Mraz, ‘I’m Yours’.

Early in the Night we had a ‘Teddy Bear Toss’.  All the kids were brought out and the Flower Girl throws a Teddy Bear, just like the the bouqute toss.  Our Flower Girl, Ella, got a little confused and instead of throwing the teddy bear over her shoulder chucked it straight at me (she has a pretty good arm).  We tried again and she did a great job.  If you are having a lot of kids at your event this is a lot of fun.  Ask Ed or your DJ about the Teddy Bear Toss.

The rest of the night included a lot of dancing, some break dancing and a few Michael Jackson impersonations.  Good Luck Katrina and Jason.
