I love referrals, Katie Kring’s & Jeff Sharratt’s reception came to us by way of a referral from almost two years ago! She saw us at Hank & Melissa’s Mitchell’s wedding reception.
Katie & Jeff’s reception was at the Fin & Feather in Winneconne, last Saturday. Guests enjoyed several crooner hits from Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra & one of Katie’s favorite artists, Michael Buble. Guests complimented us on Jeff & Katie’s choices of music for dinner, some said the songs played brought back several memories.
Katie & Jeff opted not to have a head table, rather to dine with everyone at their tables, including the bridal party amongst guests. This is really intimate, especially with a smaller group, and works really well!
Once dinner was complete, we began the night, with Jeff & Katie’s first dance, “Someone Like You,” by Van Morrison followed by open dancing for the remainder of the night. Some dance highlights included requests like the “Cha Cha Slide,” and “Hot Hot Hot” by Buster Poindexter where Katie led the train of guests throughout the room. Jeff’s mom asked us to play “We Are Family” which was a perfect opportunity for guest interaction. We asked all family members to come out to the dance floor, and yell out when the family name was called! The bar was packed most of the night. Another big highlight, was bringing each couple out to their own song for the Grand March, guests attention gets captivated when this is done, so each guest usually wants to know what the next song will be. Katie picked some great songs, to fit each couple.
