1/15/2010- Nimmer/Thomas Reception

Aaron & Shannon Nimmer

Last night we celebrated with Aaron Nimmer and Shannon Thomas at the Rock Garden in Green Bay, WI.   The venue staff at their reception was amazing!   Can you believe they were able to feed 250 and get tables cleared and put away in 90 minutes?   Dinner was at 6:30 and we were rolling on the dance floor at 8pm.   The evenings festivities began with bridal party introductions to the Star Wars theme.   This was cool!   Other highlights included a candy bar, and their slide show which we put together for them.

First Dance- “Born Again”  by Third Day
Father/Daughter Dance- “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” by Curtis Stigers
Mother/Son Dance- “The Perfect Fan” by Backstreet Boys

Beatles Love Songs?

Recently we had a couple that was looking for a unique mix of dinner music that was different from the norm. They are both huge Beatles fans, so they challenged us to play the best of The Beatles love songs. We did a little research and found that they had a ton of great ballads that would work.

Yesterday
I’ll follow the sun
Girl
In my life
Words of love
Something
And I love her
If I fell
Michelle
It’s only love
Everything
Blackbird
The long and winding road
Ps I love you
Let it be
All my loving
Ask me why
I’m in love
Julia
This boy
Do you want to know?
Goodbye

are just one example of something different.

9/26/2009- Ortscheid/Moyle Reception

We Celebrated with Tony Moyle & Jessica Ortscheid on Saturday night at the Stoney Creek Inn in Wausau!   What a fun, fantastic event!    The catering was done by Village Hearth Catering, and was out of this world, and brilliantly done!  I highly recommend them.   We broke the ice with trivia questions about Tony & Jessica to release the tables to the buffet.    Couples had to demonstrate a kiss for them to kiss, it made for great dinner time entertainment!

We began the dancing portion of the night shortly after 8pm with their first dance, “Steady as We go” by the Dave Matthews Band.   Guests were on the dance floor all night long with a solid mix of 60′s, 70′s and 80′s.   The bridal party danced in for the Grand March to “What is Love” by Haddaway, the perfect song from “Night at the Roxy” followed by “I’ll Be” by Edwin McCain, one of the biggest charting hits of the last 10 years.   It truly was a great night.   Tony came up at the end of the night, and even wrote on the memo line of his check to me, “You were everything we were looking for in a DJ!”   Thanks for letting us celebrate your biggest night, we wish you nothing but the best!
